Whetstone Development Advisors
The Founder — Ron Ramos

The advisor who built the work first.

For more than fifty years, Ron Ramos has stood on the principal's side of the table — sourcing land, carrying risk, and delivering finished homes. Whetstone brings that hard-won judgment to a select roster of developers across California and the Southwest. A founding member of the Ramos/Jensen Company in 1974, Ron has delivered some of San Diego County's defining residential communities.

In his words

Context Architecture.

The projects rest on a way of thinking Ron calls Context Architecture — a ten-principle framework, drawn in part from Werner Erhard and Napoleon Hill, for setting the conditions in which the right outcome becomes the likely one. It is the discipline that turned raw parcels into communities, and it anchors how Whetstone advises today.

"At eighty-three, I am still learning — and still building. The work taught me that the context you set is the project you get."
